2009 Solo Sprint series can be remembered as an eventful year. First and foremost we would like to thank our sponsors Boosted Performance and Racing and TMP Consulting Engineers. As we look back to the 2009 season, there are many things that made this year successful. We faced numerous challenges, as well as many opportunities. The amount of track time was increased while maintaining affordable competitor fees.
A BIG THANK YOU goes out to the 2009 Solo Sprint Volunteers!
Solo Sprint Committee: Brent Hockin, Don Kjosness, Barry Wilks, Doug Campbell, Erik Samoil
Solo Sprint Operational Team: Tasneem Vellani, Tyler Maltais, David Gray, Gary Roberts, Neil Harker, Kent Seymour, Jennifer Lane, Simon Kong, Jay Zelazo,Tracy Cryderman, Driving Instructors, and the countless number of volunteers for making this season run smoothly.
The 2009 series brought one of the largest number of Solo Sprint competitors together for some friendly competition. Various competitor packages were offered to keep the track days more flexible. This included a new package to the sport called Solo Sprint lite that provided a low cost option to experience the racing experience.
A few highlights…
Track Time There was more track time this year than any other. We had 10 track days at Race City and 2 full weekends at the Strato Tech Park in Edmonton.
